To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Sr. Molding Tool Engineer located in Suzhou MCi.

What a typical day looks like:

• Strong supports on new molds design review with HQ tooling team, and follow up new molds plan as local molding leader (incl managing local tool suppliers if HQ sourced local sources)
• Daily communication with local molding team for problems solving realted molds,figure out professional solutions finally (excl.temporary actions) and confirm with oversee tooling design team, make sure some improvements will be applied to new copy molds if needed 与
• Responsible for the new tools check and confirmation, issue the acceptance check list to HQ , and work with process engineer for the new tools validation.
• Communicate HQ tool engineer for the 3D of tool components or hot runner halves, and manage them by reasonable files. Keep good communication with HQ tool engineer when local plant need modifciation according to actual situation , and make sure the modification agreed by them and updated to the GA for future tracking or extending to new tools.
• Take lead for tools continous improvement when process engineer or product engineer needs change for quality or capacity improvement during molding or assembly process.
• As backup of tooling room supervisor--- following up repair & maintencance schedule generated by smart system, confirm the actual progress and adjust work arrangement for tool technicians if necessary
• Update deep maintenace frequency for each mold based on their actual situation and maintenance history, make sure all molds have a reasonable deep maintenace plan. organize the team to disucss and update tools using life according to actual situation if current using life is coming to end.
• Collect difficult tool repair requests due to sudden tools accident, and organize the team to analyze the root cause, take effective solution to repair and make sure no same damage happened again.
• Lead difficult tool repair and discuss with tool suppliers if need outsource, make sure tool suppliers understanding the proposal well, and control the repair reusult or spare parts quality
• Other duties as required.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• College or above, major in tool design&manufacturing /mechanical manufacturing or related.
• At least 5-year mould design experiences in injection molds area and at least 2-years tool maker experiences in tooling manufacturing plant.
• 3-years Auto plastic part molds experiences are preferred
• English can be used to communicate
• Strong communication skills and problem solving ability and work under pressure
• Good sense of responsibility, initiative and team work
• Results-oriented
