Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Tax Analyst located on Flex North.

Reporting to the Industria Sr Director, Finance the Tax Analyst responsible for supporting tax compliance activities for Mexico legal entities, ensuring the accurate preparation of tax calculations, filings, reconciliations, and reporting in accordance with Mexican tax regulations. The position also assists with tax audits, tax analysis, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional coordination to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Support the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax compliance obligations for Mexico legal entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual tax calculations, including VAT (IVA), income tax (ISR), withholding taxes, and other applicable tax obligations.
  • Prepare tax reconciliations and support the reconciliation of tax-related balance sheet and P&L accounts.
  • Support the analysis of tax transactions and ensure proper tax treatment in accordance with Mexican tax regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns, informative filings, and supporting documentation required by tax authorities.
  • Maintain tax records and documentation to ensure compliance with statutory retention requirements.
  • Support tax audits, information requests, and other interactions with SAT and external advisors.
  • Assist with electronic accounting requirements, tax reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Monitor tax law changes and communicate relevant updates to the tax team.
  • Support special tax projects, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and other business functions to obtain information required for tax compliance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
  • Experience in tax, accounting, audit, or finance-related functions.
  • Basic knowledge of Mexican tax regulations, including ISR, IVA, withholding taxes, and SAT compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Familiarity with electronic invoicing (CFDI) and electronic accounting concepts is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multinational and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of annual tax returns and monthly tax compliance processes.
  • Basic understanding of transfer pricing, IMMEX, VAT certifications, or customs-related tax matters.
