Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Test Engineer, ICT/FPT located in Milpitas, CA.

Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager the Test Engineer, ICT/FPT will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting electronics manufacturing and PCBA production environments, including ICT (HP/Agilent/Keysight), Flying Probe (Takaya), and other automated test systems used for product validation, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, analog and digital circuits, SMT and PCBA manufacturing processes, IPC standards, and soldering defect analysis, with the ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Proven experience performing product debugging, circuit-level failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation to improve product quality, test performance, manufacturing yield, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience supporting and optimizing manufacturing test operations, including test program validation, test coverage improvements, equipment troubleshooting, process enhancements, and collaboration with production, engineering, quality, suppliers, and equipment vendors.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with experience leading or supporting cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and site-wide projects

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • BS (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 5 -7 plus years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer electrical technologies.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proven leadership experience driving cross-functional initiatives and operational excellence, with the ability to execute strategic objectives, influence functional processes and technologies, and deliver measurable business impact across multiple teams or areas of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment in complex or ambiguous situations, establish or improve methods, standards, and procedures, and provide technical leadership through coaching, mentoring, and leading teams while fostering a collaborative, values-driven culture.
