General Purpose:
Responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
Principle Accountabilities:
· Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels. Will directly manage three production managers.
· Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
· Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
· Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
· Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
· Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
· Report to Senior Management team in weekly operations reviews.
· Coach and mentor Operations team.
· Leverage industry practices and apply to internal systems and processes.
· Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
Experience:
• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of manufacturing operations experience, from high-volume, highly regulated manufacturing companies, e.g., medical devices (ideal) or automotive, or similar.
• Experience must include staff supervision (including disciplinary and hire-fire) of production managers, and dynamic, proactive, engaged management style.
• Must have background in Kaizen and/or Lean practices.
