If you are looking for a meaningful, mission driven career, Join FSA!   A Senior Records Examiner/Analyst performs, but is not limited to the following duties:

  • Process and maintain all electronically stored information (ESI) received from relators, defendants, third parties, and experts on all ACE cases. This includes building and maintaining document review databases for case team use by loading image, native, and text files so that ESI can be reviewed and manipulated as required. This also includes processing ESI and sending it out to agents, relators, and experts in reviewable formats, as well as processing and preparing ESI for production to opposing parties
  • Consult with case team members (e.g. attorneys, investigators, legal support staff) to understand case needs and technical requirements as it relates to discovery processing and review.
  • Familiar with the details of cases and analyze litigation support requirements to develop or recommend appropriate strategies to meet litigation needs.
  • Review and analyze documents produced in discovery or in response to subpoenas and Civil Investigative Demands, including but not limited to creating and running queries, reviewing and tagging documents responsive to those queries.
  • Evaluate and develop methodologies and procedures for manipulating files for use typically with COTS products and litigation support applications. Must be able to ensure the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks.
  • Generate complex electronic discovery productions (e.g., Bates-numbered images with redactions and searchable text or industry standard load files) that comply with production specifications and deadlines, including productions from document review databases or productions from specified criteria.
  • Prepare graphs, tables, charts, indices, videos, transcripts, and other computerized graphics for use by the ACE litigation team for trials, hearings, depositions, and presentations.
  • Provide technology support at trials, hearings, depositions and presentations. This includes managing exhibits and computerized graphics during trials, hearings, depositions and presentations.
  • Obtain, install, integrate, test and maintain equipment, cabling and software.
  • Organize and index various evidence exhibits for trial, depositions, hearings and presentations.
  • Produce a variety of written documents and materials utilizing a wide range of office software applications. For example, assignments may include integrating output from different software types, e.g., tables produced by database applications and charts and graphs produced by electronic spreadsheet applications, into word processing or desk top publishing text. Products include complicated tables, graphs and charts which may be incorporated into legal documents or courtroom presentations. Ensures proper format, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and grammar.


Requirements

A Senior Records Examiner/Analyst must meet the following qualifications:
  • Two or four-year degree (preferred), Business Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent is acceptable. Experience can be substituted for education.
  • Three years' experience in a law office and trial support environment
  • Must possess strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, including:
    • Thorough knowledge of presentation software (e.g., Power-point, OnCue, etc.).
    • Thorough knowledge of document review software such as Everlaw, Relativity, Casemap, or similar programs.
    • Thorough knowledge of E-discovery software such as Nuix, Law Pre-Discovery, or similar programs.
    • Thorough knowledge of word processing software, specifically, but not limited to MS Word.
    • Thorough knowledge of video-editing software such as Camtasia, Pinnacle Studio, or similar programs.
    • Familiarity with data analytics software.
    • Thorough knowledge of Excel and Adobe.
    • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to take direction, listen to others, be attentive to nonverbal cues and respond appropriately -- strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team is a must.
  • Ability to manage large volumes of ESI.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, work under stressful conditions, and multitask.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
