Description

The Distribution Center Engineer role supports the Distribution Center by driving process improvement, engineering projects, slotting strategy, and labor management. A Distribution Center Engineer will use Lean principles to lead and conduct process improvement, DC capacity and throughput planning, project management, and operational analysis. He/she must be self-motivated, detail oriented, have strong communication skills, and work effectively in a team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a change agent within the DC and Supply Chain Network, to identify, lead, support and manage the implementation of projects & change initiatives to best support company business needs. 35%
  • Analyze operations to identify, measure, and test new methods, processes, and procedures to maintain and improve DC operational capacity and performance. 35%
  • Ensure a culture of continuous improvement performance, utilizing change management and performance management techniques. 10%
  • Develop, write, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) as necessary. 5%
  • Conduct complex analyses based on sound engineering fundamentals while driving Total Cost Optimization for the business. 5%
  • Optimize WMS & WCS configuration to streamline process flows and reduce manual intervention. 5%
  • Additional responsibilities as defined by manager. 5%

The anticipated salary range for this position is $82,700– $124,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

Requirements

Education and Experience
Minimum: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred

Years of Experience
Minimum of 2 yrs. of work history directly related to industrial engineering, supply chain and/or distribution

Physical Requirements
DC-Exempt - *Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time. *Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone . *Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports. *The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
