Description
Store Environment plays an important role in bringing Harbor Freight's merchandising strategy to life in our stores. The team helps shape how products, categories, fixtures, signage, and space come together to create an intuitive, productive, and consistent experience for our customers and store associates.
Harbor Freight's Store Environment Internship Program gives college students and recent graduates hands-on experience supporting the strategy, development, and execution of the physical retail environment. During this 10-week program, interns will work alongside Store Environment leaders and cross-functional partners while contributing to projects that address real business opportunities. This approach aligns with the structure of Harbor Freight's Merchandising Internship Program, which emphasizes meaningful project ownership, cross-functional exposure, mentorship, and a capstone project.
Depending on the assignment, interns may help analyze store and space performance, support merchandising and presentation strategies, participate in store tests, assist with fixture and signage initiatives, support new stores and remodels, coordinate project activities, or identify opportunities to improve the customer and associate experience. Interns will gain exposure to multiple disciplines within Store Environment, including Space Planning, Project Management, Floor Planning, Visual Merchandising, store execution, and cross-functional retail operations.
Store Environment Interns will experience a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and receive continuous coaching and mentorship throughout the program. Interns will have opportunities to collaborate with leaders and partners across the organization, develop their analytical and problem-solving skills, and contribute meaningful work from day one.
