Description
The Senior Logistics Analyst plays a critical role in supporting analytics, strategy, and reporting for the Harbor Freight Logistics organization. This position is responsible for standardizing, harmonizing, and analyzing logistics data across multiple transportation modes. With more than 55,000 annual deliveries, the Senior Analyst will monitor service performance, identify cost saving opportunities, and drive continuous service improvements.
This role supports and oversees key projects, ensuring successful execution of strategic logistics initiatives. The Senior Logistics Analyst will track savings generated from operational efficiency programs and broader transformation efforts, providing clear visibility into performance and impact.
The Senior Logistics Analyst will develop and implement delivery and service strategies across designated channels, leveraging advanced quantitative analysis to make independent decisions aligned with company goals. This role will design, enhance, and implement reporting solutions that improve visibility, drive efficiency, and strengthen overall logistics effectiveness.
Success in this position requires a highly collaborative team player who inspires productivity and demonstrates a strong service mindset toward both internal partners and external customers. The Senior Logistics Analyst works closely with Distribution, Inventory, Store Operations, Finance, and carrier partners to support a high performing, customer focused logistics network.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of logistics strategies across Outbound, International, and Omni-Channel networks to enhance service performance and reduce costs.
- Drive end-to-end logistics engineering initiatives, including network design, routing optimization, mode selection, transportation modeling, and flow-path analysis.
- Conduct advanced scenario modeling and network optimization studies to support long-range supply chain planning and major operational decisions.
- Provide strategic delivery and service recommendations to cross-functional partners for peak periods, special programs, and new business initiatives.
- Design, develop, and own enterprise logistics KPIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions that improve performance visibility and support data-driven decisions.
- Lead advanced analytics, forecasting, and root-cause investigations to identify service risks, cost drivers, and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Own logistics performance reporting across Inbound, Outbound, and store delivery networks, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights.
- Engineer and optimize routing strategies and transportation solutions, including evaluation of new modes, service options, and emerging technologies.
- Lead and support transportation technology initiatives, including optimization platforms and automation opportunities.
- Conduct financial analysis and manage operating budgets for domestic outbound transportation operations, including spending exceeding $100MM.
- Provide cost modeling, forecasting, and financial insights to support annual planning, carrier negotiations, and transportation partner performance management.
- Establish standardized logistics processes, documentation, and procedures while supporting large-scale logistics initiatives, inventory flow optimization, and returns operations.

Requirements
Education Requirements
- BS in Logistics & Supply Chain Management,
- Industrial Engineering, Statistics or Applied
- Mathematics is strongly preferred
- 4+ years of experience in Transportation,
- Operations, and/or Supply Chain
- Retail experience a plus
- Strong analytical background with some expertise in Access/Excel/Power BI/ Tableau
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as part of the job performance and will need to rely on judgment and experience to accomplish goals.
- Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Understanding and experience in project management and exposure to project management methodologies
- Flexible and adaptable in regard to learning and understanding new technologies.
