HCA Florida Putnam Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic team and top notch facility!
A 99-bed, acute care facility, located at 611 Zeagler Drive, in Palatka, provides the latest technology with the assurance of highly trained, caring professionals to the residents of Putnam County. The hospital serves North Central Florida with a full complement of quality healthcare services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.   Surgical Services at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital includes four operating rooms and five PACU bays.  Procedures include: endoscopy, general surgery, vascular, ortho, urology, opthalmic, gynocological, and some post C-section recovery.  

BASIC FUNCTION:

  • Support PCMC's hallmarks of service excellence, patient advocacy and quality for all job responsibilities
  • Under general direction is responsible for “house supervision” when administrative leadership is not in the building.  Coordinates patient care, facility, and resource issues, and is responsible for the day to day operation of the facility while on duty.

SIGNIFICANT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care.  As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees.
  • Champion PCMC's mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company.
  • Delegates and supervises personnel while maintaining quality patient care on all nursing units.
  • Function as a staff resource for patient care activities, hospital policy/procedure, conflict resolution, and staff education.
  • Implements and coordinates the house wide Disaster Plan and Chain of Command if required.
  • Ensures operation of equipment following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Providing staff education on new equipment.
  • Participates and/or leads intradepartmental committees as assigned.
  • Is able to perform all job functions outlined in the staff nurse position.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of nursing policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
