This position is responsible for marketing new labor business using a diverse number of selling methods and products managing a block of moderate to complex/high revenue accounts to meet retention targets, acting as a point of contact for day to day and technical issues and serving as point person between HCSC, blue cross blue shield association, system vendors, and fund offices in resolving inquires. * Market new labor business using a diverse number of selling methods. Leverage existing relationships, cold call, cultivate new business opportunities through labor unions, consultants, system vendors, attorneys, money managers, third party administrators and brokers. * Manage a block of moderate to highly complex/high revenue accounts and meet retention targets. * Responsible for day-to-day client management and maintaining the external client/system vendor relationships. * Attend trustee meetings and/or meets with each client to develop a strong business relationship. * Responsible for coordination of the implementation process for both internal and external areas and to deliver expectations within the specific timeframes. * Proactively seek understanding of labor fund needs from clients and provide technical problem solving skills for long-term and day-to-day issues. * Attend labor and political events in order to represent Blue Cross Blue Shield as a strong advocate for Union Labor and a corporate community citizen. Some travel required. * Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to provide information on key health industry topics including trends, legislative and regulatory changes, ERISA, Department of Labor issues and the impact on Taft-Hartley business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor degree and 2 years experience in managed care Account Management or health insurance
* State General Lines Agent Life, Health, and HMO license or obtain General Lines Agent Life, Health, and HMO license within required time frame per state regulations
* Verbal and written communication skills to compose communications, negotiate with client groups, prepare and facilitate presentations
* Business relationship building experience
* Consensus building and conflict management skills
* Knowledge of marketing and sales techniques
* Knowledge of managed care products, industry and trends
* PC proficiency to include MS Office products

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Health Care Administration or Finance
* Knowledge of HCSC systems (BlueCHIP, BlueSTAR, CRM)
* Project management skills
* Experience and understanding of labor unions and Taft-Hartley Welfare Funds
* Knowledge of county and state political environment and key players in state of operations

Compensation: $65,100.00 - $97,600.00

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location
