Job Summary ***This position has the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.***

This position is responsible for the account management, consultative, and strategic oversight for a block of Group Medicare accounts. Cultivates relationships, identifies add-on sales opportunities, and services accounts to expand the business and help meet/exceed sales and renewal objectives. This position is responsible for strategic and complex accounts with significant contributions to divisional membership and revenue goals. As the senior level position, you will represent the department in key initiatives. Travel is REQUIRED to different states within the 5 State Plan, up to 25% (mainly peak times such as fall, for Open Enrollment.)

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree and 8 years of experience in a Commercial sales environment with at least 5 years of Account Management/Sales/Business Development experience in Group Medicare products

  • Current state General Agent Life and Health license or obtain within 90 days of starting in role

  • In-depth knowledge of Group Medicare products and market

  • Experience in developing and delivery of sales and marketing strategies

  • Experience working independently and in teams, flexible within a fast-paced and changing

  • environment

  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to utilize sales strategies

  • Communications skills to represent HCSC to brokers and customers, negotiate contracts, explain/sell company positioning, and work across company on joint sales tasks

  • PC skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases such as Salesforce

  • Strong financial acumen; experience developing financial agreements on new group sales

  • Ability and willingness to travel, as needed

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Masters)

  • Track record of business wins

  • Salesforce experience

  • MUST be willing and able to travel out of state, up to 25% will be required
