Description
BLADE (HDT) is currently seeking Mechanical Assemblers for 1st shift or weekend shift positions at our Cincinnati, OH facility. Weekend shift hours are Friday – Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm, with shift differential.
The primary function of this position is to be responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for setting up and operating assigned machinery
- Performs advanced-level assembly functions, which may include; prep, mechanical, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
- Installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment
- Interprets blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions
- Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
- Adheres to all quality and safety standards
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of five years of manufacturing related experience preferred
- Experience with hand and power tools required
- Ability to read blueprints preferred
- Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs, repetitive motion, with occasional lifting/pushing up to 75 lbs
- Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per plant rules
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary, including weekend
