Position Overview:


The HR Intern, Learning & Development (L&D), will support key initiatives focused on enhancing training programs, strengthening early career partnerships, and advancing learning technology within the organization. This role offers hands-on exposure to L&D strategy, vendor engagement, and talent development efforts in a fast-paced logistics environment.


The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in content development, support and help administer performance review processes, and maintain accurate data entry across HR and L&D systems. This role will also contribute to SAP implementation goals by supporting data accuracy, process documentation, and system-related initiatives tied to learning and performance management.  


Responsibilities will include but not limited to researching emerging learning technologies and supporting outreach to academic and community partners to build sustainable talent pipelines.


This position provides a unique opportunity to gain visibility into both U.S. and global L&D initiatives, while contributing to projects that directly impact workforce development and organizational growth.


This role is ideal for a student interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources, Learning & Development, or Talent Management, with the potential for future full-time opportunities based on performance and business needs.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist with content development and learning materials using L&D tools.

  • Support and help administer performance review processes, including tracking and coordination.

  • Perform data entry and data maintenance across HR and L&D systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Contribute to SAP implementation goals, including data validation, process documentation, and system support.

  • Participate in L&D technology demos and research emerging tools.

  • Support vendor coordination and exposure to third-party learning partners.

  • Conduct research and outreach to technical colleges, universities, and community organizations.

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with external partners for recruiting and L&D initiatives.

  • Assist with university partnership development and early career pipeline efforts.

  • Attend HR and L&D meetings as needed.

  • Collaborate with global partners on L&D initiatives (virtual exposure).


 


Work Location: This position is onsite in Scranton, PA. 


Work Schedule: First Shift - Part time, apx 20-30 hours a week 


Work Travel: 5% domestic travel.


Compensation: Attractive hourly salary of $17-$20/hour, with potential for higher compensation based on graduate status and experience.


Term: Summer co-op (June-Aug) - 20-30 hours a week. Potential option to extend summer internship as co-op (20 – 30 hours/week) for fall or spring semesters.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelors or Master's program in HR Management, Business Management or related degree program

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Previous internship in HR or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources systems, policies, and processes.
  • Effective HR operational skills and presentation skills.
  • Effective research and communication skills.
  • Software skills, including use HRMS, ATS, and applicable time management systems.
  • Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity, and dedication to getting results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
