Description
Quality Control will maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results. Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Accurately count, verify UPC, make product shipping labels, label, and prepare for shipping.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Maintains quality and accuracy of inventory by inspecting freight and products for correct quantities and conditions and moving freight manually or with powered equipment.
- Ensure goals are met for unloading trailers by monitoring unloaders and arrival times.
- Research product overages, shortages, and discrepancies via physical inspection or system analysis.
- Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
- Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:30pm - 12:30am
Compensation: $20.50 + $1 shift premium
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
- One year forklift operating experience.
- Experience in receiving, verifying quantities, signing freight bill in a warehouse environment.
