Position Overview:


Can you lead strategic engineering initiatives while driving operational excellence across a multi-site logistics network? As the Senior Manager of Industrial Engineering, you will combine hands-on engineering expertise, customer engagement, and project leadership to improve safety, efficiency, and standardization across large-scale distribution and contract packaging operations throughout ID Logistics' national footprint. Leading multiple Senior Industrial Engineers across sites and customers, you will serve as both a people leader and an active contributor directly managing key initiatives while supporting your team's success. This highly visible, customer-facing role requires strong presentation skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to influence results across complex, multi-site operations.


Location: While remote will be considered, ideally an office will be available at an anchor site open to a hybrid schedule.  Eastern or Central time zone strong preference.
Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5:30pm with flexibility to work outside of normal business hours for any site level emergencies.
Travel Specifics: Up to 35–50% depending on project needs across sites subject to change based on business needs.
Competitive Compensation: A competitive total rewards package including an attractive annual salary $104,000-$146,000, performance-based bonus, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.

Responsibilities:



  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report non-compliance when observed.

  • Observe all company safety rules and support enforcement and training as appropriate.

  • Own the identification, prioritization, and execution of major continuous improvement and automation initiatives, including development of business cases, ROI analyses, implementation roadmaps, and post-implementation performance validation.

  • Lead and develop a team of Industrial Engineers and engineering leaders by building capability, establishing clear performance expectations, coaching talent, and creating succession plans that support long-term organizational needs.

  • Partner with assigned customers and facilities and take the lead to identify and then document best practices for layout design, process flow, productivity and others to ensure safety first, standardized, and efficient operations.

  • Serve as a senior partner during customer solutioning and bid activities by shaping engineering concepts, reviewing pricing assumptions, supporting capital and vendor decisions, and presenting strategic recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Upon project approval, partner with IT, automation providers, integrators, controls teams, and operations leadership to govern systems integration, technology deployment, and solution validation, ensuring engineering designs translate effectively into sustainable operational performance.

  • Establish and monitor engineering governance, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that measure service, productivity, utilization, quality, and capital effectiveness, and use insights to drive executive decision-making and operational accountability.

  • Collaborate with senior operations and customer leaders to develop long-range engineering roadmaps that support network expansion, service innovation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the business.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field is required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership of engineering teams and large-scale initiatives.
  • 3+ years' experience in operations, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments, with demonstrated leadership in complex, multi-site networks and strong knowledge of engineering support models in high-volume, customer-facing operations.
  • Proven success leading continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business impact to ensure safety while improving cost, performance, service level, throughput or capacity.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Excel and/or Access
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align cross-functional teams, and lead through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, SQL, and other data mining tools preferred.
