We are currently seeking a Vibrant Life® Assistant / Driver to join our team! This dual-role position is perfect for someone who loves engaging seniors, facilitating activities, and providing safe, dependable transportation.
Your Role: Vibrant Life® Assistant & DriverAs a Driver, you will:
Safely operate the community van/shuttle for daily outings and medical appointments
Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle
Comply with all traffic and safety regulations
Perform vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Maintain communication with the community via cell phone during outings
Ensure resident safety and dignity during trips
Train staff on loading/unloading procedures and use of wheelchair lifts
As an Activity Assistant, you will:
Support daily recreational programming and planned activities (games, crafts, music, events)
Encourage resident participation, wellness, and social engagement
Help coordinate and lead off-site excursions
Work closely with the Vibrant Life® Director and other team members
Contribute to creating a joyful, inclusive atmosphere for residents
Minimum 18 years of age (per driving requirements)
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
2+ years' experience driving (preferably with seniors or passengers)
Experience with elderly or memory care residents preferred
First Aid certification required; CPR preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for seniors
