ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the overall sales strategy and performance of all sales activities for the Building & Construction business line, including the ‘Project' business and ‘Products' business.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Global Sr. Vice President of the Building & Construction Business Line.

- Develop and drive the overall sales strategy in conjunction with the Company's business plan
- Hire, develop, and mentor the Regional Sales Management team across North America.
- Create a single sales organization that is both Project and Product related with a cohesive sales management tool, that is connected and collaborative (PSI, MT, ATI, Intertek)
- Build regional sales teams in the USA and Canada to support the business line goals.
- Create a sales strategy that works affectively with the greater PSI, MT and legacy ATI business leads.
- Work with the National Sales Group and National Client Group teams to support key customer growth and “special project” development.
- Support, integrate and implement sales tools across “one” sales organization, such as iConnect, the Power BI, Oasis and Operational revenue budget documents.
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales organization and RSD's.
- Develop and drive the sales plan and provide regular updates, revisions and modifications to the plan.
- Establish and oversee the objectives of the sales plan with all of the functional departments of the company, and most specifically, with direct reports and the sale organization.
- Ensure the sales organization understands and implements sales strategies across North America that have regional differentiating characteristics.
- Establish and oversee the compensations plans for assigned sales organization, including working with Human Resources and Finance. This includes plans that are being integrated as a single sales organization, PSI, MT and legacy Intertek.
- Oversee the sales management team during the development of territory/vertical assignments and individual quota expectations
- Collaborate with global business line leaders and country operations to ensure plans are developed, executed and aligned with the country and global strategies
- Coach, mentor, and motivate regional sales leadership
- Collaborate with executive leadership regarding organizational objectives
- Establish both market and targeted customer strategies for the Company.
- Oversee the needs of the Company's customers in order to meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies.
- Ensure all Regional Sales Director regions, and related sales professionals and are meeting or exceeding all metric based sales activities
- Lead by example for sales professionals and management team in the areas of personal character, commitment, organization and selling skills and work habits.
- Conduct regular coaching sales professionals and management team to build motivation and selling skills.
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Perform other work as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or directly related field
- 15+ years of successful experience in a professional sales capacity, including a proven track record of new business development, territory and/or individual account growth and prior supervisory/management experience
- 10+ years successful experience leading and managing a team of sales professionals
- 10+ years successful experience working in the Building and Construction industry
- Experience in managing sales teams in both Canada and the USA
- Experience in working with Executive Operational management in multiple regions in North America with varying levels of responsibility and different personalities.
- Experience developing and executing tactical metric based sales plans, including quotas and objectives
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Must be highly customer focused.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to deliver high level presentations to prospects and clients.
- High degree of personal integrity and the ability to collaborate with others in a team based environment
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written formats and ability to listen effectively
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead the team and drive maximum results
- Ability to promote an effective working relationship at all levels and create a positive work environment
- Ability to promote the vision of the sales organization in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to conduct business across multiple time zones with at least 50% travel involved
