Job Title: Software Quality Engineer
Locations: Bucharest, RO | Hybrid
Get To Know The Team:
The PS team is responsible for the delivery of client specific solutions leveraging the Intralinks Platform and Product Suites. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, usability, and performance of our applications. Leveraging your development expertise, you will take ownership of the quality assurance process, designing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate the functionality and performance of our platform.
Your development background will enable you to collaborate closely with software engineers and business analysts, understand complex technical aspects, and communicate effectively with the team. Additionally, you will provide technical support to our customers, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving software-related problems. You will also participate in the on-call rotation to handle critical issues outside regular business hours. The ideal candidate should possess a strong development background, outstanding communication skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch custom applications and integration points based on the Intralinks Platform.
What You Will Get To Do:
Quality Assurance, Testing & Validation
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies including manual, exploratory, functional, and integration testing
- Create detailed test cases and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements
- Perform hands-on manual testing of applications, APIs, and integrations, not just automated validation
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts where appropriate to improve efficiency
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira
Business & Technical Analysis
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate business and system requirements
- Translate requirements into clear test cases, acceptance criteria, and validation scenarios
- Review user stories, functional specs, and technical designs for completeness, clarity, and testability
- Act as a bridge between business users, developers, and QA, ensuring alignment on expected outcomes
- Contribute to UAT planning and support, ensuring business needs are correctly validated
Technical Support
- Provide technical support to customers by troubleshooting and resolving application issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve complex production issues
- Support performance and security testing efforts by validating application scalability, performance, and resilience
Collaboration & Communication
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to drive quality
- Clearly communicate defects, risks, and test results to stakeholders
- Promote a quality-first and customer-centric mindset
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years experience in QA, with exposure to Business Analysis or Technical Analysis responsibilities
- Strong experience in:
- Manual testing (essential)
- Writing test cases from requirements
- Exploratory and end-to-end testing
- Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (nice to have, not the sole focus)
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into testable scenarios
- Experience working with:
- Agile / Scrum environments
- Jira, test management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to handle on-call responsibilities and respond promptly to critical incidents.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile SaaS development environment.
- Experience acting as a BA / Technical Analyst in a delivery team
- API testing experience (Postman, REST clients, etc.)
- Knowledge of SaaS platforms, integrations, and data validation
- Understanding of UAT coordination and stakeholder engagement
