Sr. Transition Project Manager (PMO)

Drive Transformation. Deliver Excellence. Make an Impact.

About ISS

At ISS, we create places that work, think, and give—workplaces where people feel supported, engaged, and empowered to perform at their best.

As a global leader in workplace experience and facility management, ISS delivers placemaking solutions that help improve business performance while making life easier, more productive, and more enjoyable. Since 1901, we have been a people organization built on fairness, equality, inclusion, and the belief that when people work together, they can make a meaningful difference.

When we get things right, we enhance lives and make the world work better.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly organized, collaborative, and results-driven Sr. Transition Project Manager (PMO) to help lead the successful delivery of complex transition and transformation initiatives.

In this critical role, you will manage and support the delivery of the ISS Transition Process Model (TPM), helping operationalize new contracts and bring transformation concepts to life. Working closely with Transition Managers, operational leaders, commercial teams, and key stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered with strong governance, transparency, accountability, and execution.

If you thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at bringing structure to complexity, and have a passion for turning strategy into action, this could be the opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

As the Transition Project Manager (PMO), you will:

  • Manage PMO processes, systems, and tools while ensuring adherence to TPM governance standards.
  • Lead account-specific programs, projects, and workstreams within complex business change initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Transition Managers to drive consistent use of the ISS Project Management Framework, systems, and processes.
  • Develop accurate, actionable project plans aligned with strategic and tactical contract objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, milestones, deliverables, and priorities.
  • Create accountability, focus, transparency, and accelerated execution across project teams.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to keep initiatives on track.
  • Build effective stakeholder engagement, communication, governance, and escalation plans.
  • Chair workstream meetings, ensuring clear agendas, documented outcomes, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Identify project dependencies and complexities and coordinate across teams to drive alignment and resolution.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting on project health, KPIs, progress, risks, issues, and key milestones.
  • Facilitate effective RAID management, ensuring Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies are current, meaningful, and actionable.
  • Maintain comprehensive project and program documentation that supports and demonstrates successful delivery.
  • Manage budgets and operating plans while partnering with commercial and operational teams on program funding proposals.
  • Support performance goals related to customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team effectiveness.
  • Lead successful project closure, capturing lessons learned and translating them into best practices across regions and accounts.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and partner with senior leadership to drive adoption and impact.

What You Bring

You are a confident project professional who knows how to create clarity, build alignment, and maintain momentum—even when priorities shift and the path forward is complex.

You bring:

  • 10+ Years of Experience in a PMO/Transition or FM Environment
  • A degree-level education or relevant professional accreditation.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent project management certification is desirable.
  • Proven Project Management or Project Coordinator experience, preferably within the Facilities Management industry.
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or Monday.com.
  • Strong knowledge of project governance, planning, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and proactively solve problems.
  • Confidence and credibility when engaging with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • A collaborative, positive, and delivery-focused mindset.
  • Fluency in English; additional language capabilities are a plus.
  • Experience working across diverse teams, cultures, and nationalities.
  • The judgment and discretion required to manage confidential and sensitive information.

How You'll Succeed

Success in this role means bringing structure to complexity and keeping people, priorities, and projects moving forward.

You are someone who:

  • Embraces flexibility and remains effective in ambiguous environments.
  • Approaches challenges with curiosity, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Communicates with confidence, enthusiasm, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
  • Performs effectively in fast-paced environments and under pressure.
  • Builds trust and credibility across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Balances attention to detail with a clear view of the bigger picture.
  • Takes ownership and follows through from project initiation to successful closure.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The role may require:

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Lifting at least 10 pounds.
  • Working effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines during peak periods.
