Payroll Analyst

Salary Range: $49,600 to $52,380

Location: Remote- USA

 We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Payroll Analyst to join our Client Success Department. In this role, you

will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely entry, updating,

and auditing of payroll data across various systems. You will work directly

with clients to resolve discrepancies, understand their unique configurations,

and maintain high standards of data integrity.

This position also involves collaborating with internal teams, optimizing workflows, and

contributing to the development of payroll documentation and best practices

while ensuring compliance with legal and security protocols.  



Key Responsibilities 



1. Client Engagement & Data Management 

  • Communicate directly with clients to clarify payroll discrepancies and understand system configurations.  
  • Ensure accurate and efficient payroll data entry tailored to each client's needs.  
  • Respond to all client payroll-related inquiries within 4 business hours.  
  • Maintain a client satisfaction score of 90% or higher. 

2. Payroll Data Entry & System Updates 
  • Perform daily payroll data entry and updates across multiple payroll systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy.  
  • Complete Payroll Sync Updates and QAs on the day of assignment; all other entries should be completed by the designated due date.  
  • Maintain a minimum 98% accuracy rate for all payroll entries and updates. 

3. Audit & Quality Assurance 
  • Conduct detailed audits and quality assurance checks to identify, correct, or escalate discrepancies.  
  • Proactively design and improve audit processes to prevent future issues and enhance efficiency.  
  • Contribute to innovative QA practices that ensure high data integrity. 

4. Collaboration & Troubleshooting 
  • Work closely with Senior or Lead Payroll Analysts to support complex client inquiries.  
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Support and Engineering, to troubleshoot data discrepancies and improve service delivery. 

5. Process Optimization & Documentation 
  • Regularly evaluate and refine payroll workflows to increase speed, reduce errors, and enhance client satisfaction.  
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of procedural guides, training documents, and best practice materials. 

 

6. Compliance & Security 
  • Ensure all payroll activities adhere strictly to legal, regulatory, and security requirements.  
  • Handle all payroll information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism. 

Qualifications & Experience 
  • 1–2 years of experience in payroll, HR, or a related data-focused role  
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail when working with complex data sets  
  • Experience using various payroll platforms, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly  
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve data discrepancies efficiently 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting  
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment  
  • Strong sense of confidentiality, integrity, and professional ethics  
  • Positive, collaborative attitude and self-driven work style
