Location:                   Remote Pay Grade:                $17.00-$21.00- bonuses available

The Onboarding Specialist Team Lead plays an instrumental role at The Stepping Stones Group (SSG or Company) by partnering with Leadership, Recruiters, Account Executives and the Human Resources department to foster a positive onboarding experience for new hires.   
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage the onboarding process and customer service experience for new hires
  • Engage with each new hire, serving as their first point of contact for any needs throughout the onboarding process
  • Reinforce the importance and urgency of new hire requirements and offer any support necessary to move the process forward quickly and efficiently
  • Create a positive experience for new hires by assisting with collection and completion of the onboarding requirements specific to their assignment
  • Oversee all assigned new hires while diligently prioritizing against competing time parameters and customer service imperatives
  • Drive and manage new hire onboarding documentation, progress tracking
  • Provide direct and clear communication to new hires while maintaining a warm, respectful, helpful, and empathetic approach
  • Manage onboarding communications with new hires via phone, text message, email, and videoconferencing to answer questions and provide general support
  • Respond to a high volume of incoming calls and warm transfers from producers
  • Actively follow up with new hires to obtain all necessary requirements and respond to incoming communication in a timely manner
  • Provide consistent communication and visibility to cross-functional stakeholders regarding the status of each new hire to ensure a smooth and seamless onboarding process

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
  • 2 years of customer service experience, education and/or training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HRIS or Applicant Tracking System software preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of basic office procedures and related computer programs (Microsoft 365, etc...)
  • Prior experience working in a fast paced, high volume customer service environment preferred 
  • Confidence and professionalism in working with and maintaining effective working relationships with new hires and stakeholders
  • Helpful, proactive and enthusiastic team player, willing to assist others when necessary
  • Ability to maintain a strong work ethic; ability to meet deadlines in a demanding and detail-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with ability to work independently
