  The Stepping Stones Group is seeking an experienced Substitute Behavior Technician (BT) for a school-based position in Stamford, CT! The Substitute Behavior Technician will be part of our on-site Intensive Behavioral Student Services team and will serve to lead, inspire, and support students through individualized behavioral programs.   
  What You'll Do

  • Support the special education behavioral needs of specialized classrooms through the delivery of direct behavioral support services
  • Provide direct support and supervision to students, either one-on-one or within a small group
    Responsible for the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) 
  • Effectively support all functions of the classroom, collaborating with classroom and student teams and SSG IBSS Program staff to produce desired student level and learning community outcomes
  • Assist students in learning daily living skills, communication skills, social interaction, and adaptive behaviors – toileting is required

What We're Looking For   
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have completed 40-hour Behavioral Training Course or have 6 months of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) experience 
  • Must have prior experience with children
