Kamehameha Schools is looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Audience Engagement Specialist with extensive experience in audience engagement platforms. As part of a team focused on data-driven decision making, you will play a critical role in enhancing audience engagement and driving strategic marketing and communications initiatives that resonate with our community and advance our mission. This position focuses on leveraging expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create targeted campaigns, manage brand assets, and optimize marketing metrics. Experience with Native Hawaiian organizations a plus!

This is a hybrid position based out of our Kawaiaha'o Plaza location. Our targeted compensation is $95 - 110k annually.

Job Summary

Leads the design and execution of marketing and communications initiatives within Kamehameha Schools' (KS) audience engagement platforms. Contributes to the team's ability to generate impact, influencing public perception, stakeholder relationships and organizational success. Serves both as audience engagement strategist and technical subject matter expert, working closely with the communications team to identify needs and opportunities, and strategically maps them to platform solutions. Implements campaigns to reinforce and invigorate Hawaiian cultural and language vibrancy while strengthening engagement around Kamehameha Schools' goal of nurturing ʻōiwi leaders.

Essential Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy and Management

  • Create campaign strategies and tactical plans to meet the communications objectives of Kamehameha Schools.
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Optimize campaign performance based on key metrics.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Expertise

  • Utilize Email Studio, Analytics Builder, Content Builder, Einstein, and other Salesforce apps.
  • Implement and manage customer journeys using Journey Builder.
  • Integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce core and other platforms.
  • Serve as expert adviser in Marketing Cloud implementation efforts across the organization.
  • Consult with teams on best practices for utilizing Marketing Cloud features.
  • Provide guidance on Marketing Cloud capabilities and enhancements.
  • Explore ways to evolve the use of the platform with new capability rollout, establishing workflows, best practices, foundational setup, operating models and implementing prioritized use cases.

Content Development and Production Coordination

  • Create copy and assist with development and production of marketing campaign materials that align with the KS brand.

Audience Insights

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Analyze audience data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Segment audiences for personalized communication.
  • Handle special requests for reports, data, and campaign tracking information.

Data Quality and Integration

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Technology team to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in maintaining clean and up-to-date audience lists.
  • Provide input on data segmentation strategies for personalized communication.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations, or a minimum of three years plus two Salesforce certifications.
  • A deep understanding of the capabilities and functionality of Salesforce Marketing Cloud to optimize the platforms, manage daily operations, and provide support.
  • Ability to translate marketing needs into journeys, data flows, automations and queries in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex marketing and communications needs into functional solutions in an audience engagement platform.
  • Familiarity with integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce core and other platforms.
  • Experience with channel analytics and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence in management of digital assets.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with ability to foster relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and manage large, complex projects.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.
  • Understanding of A/B and multivariate email test design and execution, and analytical tools.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Hawaiian culture, language and worldview as it relates to the operations of Kamehameha Schools as a Native Hawaiian organization.
  • Familiarity with Kamehameha Schools' mission, vision and lines of business.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks and grasp light/fine manipulation.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, write by hand, and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel, crawl, climb, reach/work above shoulder, grasp forcefully.

Working Conditions

  • Work is conducted in an office/school environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces.
  • Work is typically conducted Monday through Friday at normal business hours but evening and weekend hours may be required to meet goals and objectives.
