Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Westminster, CO (Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday–Thursday, Remote Monday & Friday)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $25–$30/hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
Kelly Services is seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join a growing accounting team in Westminster, CO. This role will be responsible for managing incoming payments, recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely collection of funds. The AR Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organization's cash flow.
This is a temp-to-hire position offering a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two days remote.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable including billing, payment application, and customer account maintenance.
- Monitor customer accounts for timely payments; follow up on overdue balances.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and short-pays.
- Manage customer payments via third-party provider sites.
- Prepare and maintain AR aging reports, reconciliation schedules, and month/year-end closing documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
- Assist with compliance documentation requests.
- Provide visibility into collections and customer payment trends to support cash forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Recommend and support process improvements and automation opportunities.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (Vista, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity, and multi-currency environment.
- Exposure to process automation tools.
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced, growing organization.
