Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Accounting

Location: Sugarland, TX 77478
Job Type: Temp-Hire
Pay: $22 hr 
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm 
 

Role Summary

We are seeking an organized and highly detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and capable of managing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure smooth and professional office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and professional manner

  • Greet and assist visitors and clients upon arrival

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic filing systems

  • Process new customer orders, including creating sales orders and purchase orders using Sage Intacct

  • Receive, process, and submit vendor invoices to customers in accordance with company procedures using Sage Intacct

  • Enter and maintain sales commissions records and databases

  • Manage packaging and shipping of in-house stock orders

    • Maintain accurate inventory records

    • Receive and restock inventory as needed

  • Perform general office duties such as restocking office kitchenette and refrigerator supplies

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team

  • Effective time management and communication skills

  • Proactive learner who is self-motivated and adaptable

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role

  • Experience using accounting software such as:

    • Sage Intacct

    • Sage 50

    • QuickBooks

  • Familiarity with accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes
