Associate Scientist (6-12 months)
Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist to join our innovative team focusing on RNA-Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulation and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RNA-LNP formulation and analysis. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and development projects at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize RNA-LNP formulations for various applications.
- Conduct physicochemical characterization of RNA-LNPs, including size, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, and RNA integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments and analyze data.
- Assist in troubleshooting formulation-related challenges and suggest improvements.
- Manage lab inventory and ordering.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of experiments and analyses.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, chemical engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working in laboratories
- Hands-on experience with RNA formulation and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology.
- Familiarity with RNA-LNP analytical techniques such as DLS, NTA, Ribogreen assay, and fragment analysis is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of GLP/GMP practices is a plus.
