Location: Concord, OH – 100% onsite - Local candidates (Cleveland/Concord, Midwest) preferred; open to relocation on one's own
Salary/Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000/year and depending on experience
Schedule: First shift M-F; however, open to the option of alternative shifts (Tues-Sat or Wed-Sun) as the site will operate 24/7
Overview
Join a small but growing GMP manufacturing site specializing in API/drug substances. This client is an industry-leading pharmaceutical company focused on advancing innovative therapies and ensuring quality pharmaceutical development. This opportunity will allow you to expand your technical expertise while supporting the delivery of vital therapies to patients and their families.
This is a blended role between QC/QA and R&D, supporting both routine analysis and method development. You will work with an international team to help deliver innovative therapies and ensure high-quality pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine HPLC and GC analysis in a GMP analytical laboratory
- Develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods for small molecules (molecular mass <2000)
- Support implementation of methods into the document control system
- Perform MS, FTIR, NMR, KF, XRD, DSC, TGA, and other assays as assigned
- Author protocols and reports; review technical content and maintain good documentation practices
- Coordinate stability testing and ensure compliant, timely data delivery
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional manufacturing and quality personnel
- Contribute to troubleshooting, stand-up of new equipment/processes, and laboratory QA
- B.S. in Chemistry required
- At least 5 years of hands-on pharmaceutical analytical laboratory experience
- Demonstrated experience with HPLC, GC in a GMP/GLP industry-based lab environment highly desired
- Experience with NMR/Spectroscopy, MS, FTIR, KF, XRD, DSC, and TGA is desirable
- Skilled in the use of standard laboratory equipment (balances, pipettes, etc.)
- Strong basic chemical knowledge; safe handling of materials
- Effective communicator; bilingual a plus but not required
- Able to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and support a fast-paced growth environment
- No new graduates—must bring strong independent analytical and troubleshooting skills
