Benefits Administrator
18-Month Contract Position
Pay Rate: $29–$32 per hour
Location: Preference for candidates local to the Cleveland area

Work Arrangement: Primarily remote with occasional on-site as needed
Training: In-office training 2–3 days during the first and second week of the engagement




Position Summary
Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to support retirement and absence management programs for both full-time and part-time employees. This role partners closely with management to ensure accurate administration, compliance, and effective communication of benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, and distribute benefits education and communication materials; document administrative procedures and processes 
  • Respond to employee enrollment questions, educate participants on benefit plans, and manage individual case inquiries 
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for insurance carriers and third-party administrators regarding plan status changes, provisions, and general benefit inquiries 
  • Support eligibility and enrollment processes through data entry, reporting, and routine audits to maintain data integrity; provide backup for carrier file transmissions, vendor billing, and post-payroll funding activities 
  • Analyze and reconcile HR and benefits data to ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations 
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration and absence management
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state regulations including ACA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, and Section 125
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
