Bioprocessing Manufacturing Technician – Thousand Oaks, CA
Position Overview:
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Bioprocessing Manufacturing Technician to join our client's Vector Production and Supply Chain team on a full-time, 6–12 month contract (with potential for extension). This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain cross-functional experience in the biotech industry, working in both lab and GMP warehouse environments. Candidates with an AS degree will be considered, but a BS in Biology or a related science is preferred.

Position Summary:
This dual-role position supports both the Vector Production team and the GMP Supply Chain operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a basic understanding of SOPs and GMP/GLP practices, and the ability to work in both a laboratory and warehouse setting. You'll gain exposure to biological safety cabinet operations and adherent cell culture processes while supporting compliant inventory and raw material handling systems.
Responsibilities:
Supply Chain:

Receive and inspect GMP raw materials

Pick and issue materials to production work orders

Manage ERP transactions (NetSuite) for inventory tracking

Maintain GMP Warehouse cleanliness and compliance
Vector Production:

Clean and decontaminate lab equipment

Prepare reagents and media
-
Operate autoclave and manage lab waste/consumables

Follow SOPs and maintain safety and documentation standards
Qualifications:
-
AS degree required; BS in Biology or related field preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-
Ability to read and follow SOPs and work compliantly

Basic lab skills and understanding of lab safety

Familiarity with GMP and GLP practices is a plus

Comfortable working in biological safety cabinets

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs

Ability to stand for extended periods and work in both lab and warehouse settings
Work Environment / Physical Demands:

Work is split between GMP warehouse and laboratory environments

May require standing, lifting (up to 35 lbs), and exposure to chemicals

Office work occurs when not engaged in lab/warehouse duties
