Location: Hoffman Estates, IL – 100% onsite
Pay Rate: $36-38/hour
Contract Type: Long Term Temporary
 
Kelly Services has recently partnered with a premier global manufacturer seeking a Business Analyst to join their sales team. In business for over 100 years, our client provides advanced high-technology production solutions to their clientele. This position will support the sales team with data processing, analysis and visualization - primarily using advanced Excel skills. The Business Analyst will contribute to customer-specific optimization strategies in sheet metal fabrication, working closely with consultants on layout planning, process analysis, and digital solutions. Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced Excel functions to clean, structure, and analyze large datasets related to customer part files and production processes.
• Support consultants in evaluating customer fabrication equipment and shop layouts using data-driven analysis.
• Develop and automate reports to illustrate material flow, machine utilization, and software workflow.
• Use Python to build or support advanced tools (e.g., process automation scripts, image-based part classification using CNNs).
• Create clear visualizations and dashboards to support solution recommendations.
• Maintain organized records of concept layouts, part files, and project documentation.
• Support quote creation requests from consultants and maintain internal quote creation tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with consulting and engineering teams.
• Attend customer visits or internal meetings as needed. (limited travel, <10% expected).

Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Power Query, pivot tables, etc.) is required.
• Experience with Python preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience creating PowerPoint presentations.
