CAPA Specialist

Overview:
This pharmaceutical company is dedicated to improving lives by developing affordable generic and over-the-counter medications.

In this role, you will ensure the highest quality standards for products and processes by managing Quality Management Systems, supporting compliance with industry regulations, leading root cause investigations, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Schedule: 
Monday-Friday, standard working hours
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead root cause investigations and facilitate the effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Oversee the site's CAPA program, collaborating cross-functionally to maintain program effectiveness and track associated health metrics.
  • Mentor and coach team members and support staff on deviation management, change control, and CAPA processes.
  • Act as site instructor for key quality programs, delivering training on Change Control, Deviation Management, and CAPA.
  • Review and author critical quality documents, support technical investigations, and act as a subject matter expert for CAPA and deviation procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of deviation investigations and associated CAPA activities.
  • Support the effective implementation and maintenance of the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) across the organization.
  • Ensure all products, processes, and documentation comply with cGMP, GLP, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies.
  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate quality-related data to identify current and potential product or process issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting manager to support quality and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as CAPA Specialist in regulated pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in managing QMS.
  • Experience with document control processes and regulatory audits.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instruments and analytical methods.
