Now Hiring: Contract Claims Examiner– Anchorage, AK

Location:
4341 B Street, Suite 203, Anchorage, Alaska, 99503-7137
Onsite at Anchorage office. Remote work is not permitted.

Pay Rate:
$40.00 per hour

Project Duration:
September 8, 2025 to December 6, 2025
(Temporary position, not direct hire)

Job Duties:
  • Analyze and process complex personal and commercial line property claims (up to $100,000).
  • Scope damages and complete estimates or review contractor's estimates.
  • Handle litigated claims and coordinate vendor management.
  • Report large claims to excess carriers.
  • Maintain action plans to meet state-required deadlines and ensure prompt claim resolution.
  • Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities; handle salvage.
  • Communicate claim actions with insureds, agents, and brokers.
  • Support quality programs and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience required; 5 years of claims management preferred or equivalent education/experience.
  • License: Alaska Property & Casualty Adjuster License (required).
  • Skills/Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of construction basics and property estimating software.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial property policies, coverages, deductibles, and sub-limits.
  • Strong oral/written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC literacy.
  • Strong organization, interpersonal skills, ability to meet deadlines and performance goals.
  • Education: High School Graduate/GED required; bachelor's degree and professional certifications preferred. Schedule:
    • Work Days: Monday – Friday (No weekends)
    • Hours Per Week: 37.5
