CNC Machinist | Direct Hire | Clyde, NY

Pay: $21.62 – $27.02/hr DOE
Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

 

  • 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

 

  • 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Position Overview
As a CNC Machinist, you'll set up, operate, and adjust CNC production machines (mills or lathes) to produce precision components according to blueprints, sketches, and route sheets. You will work within established processes while making quality adjustments and contributing to lean initiatives that improve productivity and reduce waste.

This role is ideal for experienced machinists seeking a hands-on position with technical challenges, multiple shift options, and opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (mills and/or lathes), including full tooling changes and offsets
  • Perform machining operations: cutting, shaping, drilling, reaming, deburring, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to maintain tight tolerances and quality
  • Read, edit, and execute G/M-code programs (Fanuc or similar controls preferred)
  • Conduct secondary operations, rework, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) checks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety policies
  • Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Machinist Certificate preferred)
  • 1–5 years of CNC machining experience, including setup and tool/work offsets
  • Experience with mills and lathes, blueprint reading, and machine shop math (including basic trigonometry)
  • Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators)
  • Fanuc or similar CNC control experience preferred
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
