Qualifications:
• This position requires 12 to 18 months' work experience depending on the type of coating machine to become proficient in all phases of the job to work independently.
• Works with silicone, non-silicone, and adhesive mixes to coat or laminate products according to customer specifications.
• Uses a variety of coating machines and a hydraulic lift for loading and unloading materials prior to transport to staging area for shipment.
• May be responsible for using basic hand tools such as a hammer, screwdriver or socket set to build or breakdown machinery parts.
Responsibilities:
• Coating must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds (i.e. shaft, idler, mixes) without assistance and up to 200 lb. plastic film rolls with assistance.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
Mental & Visual Demands
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, job folders and memos required.
• Performs basic math calculations, by hand and by computer, to include conversions, weight measurements, volume and distance.
Work Environment
• While performing the duties of this job within the manufacturing environment, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
• The employee works in a manufacturing setting and is occasionally exposed to heat, fumes, or airborne dust.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud when blower is in use.
