Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team on-site at the BCEI Data Center Project in New Albany, Ohio. This role is essential to the successful commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and BOP systems supporting thirty-two (32) Jenbacher generator sets. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' experience commissioning electrical and mechanical systems in large-scale power generation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commissioning of Jenbacher engine systems and associated balance-of-plant equipment including piping, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and cooling systems.
Execute startup procedures, equipment functionality checks, and performance testing in accordance with project documentation and commissioning plans.
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, controls, and OEM representatives to ensure complete system integration and readiness for operation.
Monitor system pressures, flows, temperatures, and align system operation with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, document resolutions, and support commissioning closeout and turnover activities.
Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and site-specific health and safety protocols.
Document all mechanical commissioning steps, punch list items, and assist with project turnover documentation.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of hands-on commissioning experience in both electrical and mechanical systems within power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors.
Expertise in piping systems, rotating equipment, mechanical seals, cooling systems, and process instrumentation.
Strong understanding of P&IDs, isometric drawings, and system operations.
Experience with Jenbacher or comparable gas engine platforms preferred.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.) and commissioning best practices.
Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work full-time on site in New Albany, Ohio for the duration of the project (estimated 12-14 months).
Preferred Qualifications:
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent field experience.
OEM commissioning experience or certifications.
Experience with data center electrical and/or mechanical systems (cooling towers, chillers, etc.) is a plus.
