Continuous Improvement Specialist - Direct Hire 
Location:
Houston, TX
1st Shift Hours: 7am to 4pm M-F 
Salary: $70,000 - 80,000 (Based on Experience)
Direct Hire opportunity with full benefits package! 

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Continuous Improvement Specialist to support ongoing operational excellence within our marine fabrication environment. This role is responsible for developing process improvements, documenting quality standards, supporting compliance requirements, and collaborating across multiple departments to drive efficiency and cost savings. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working both in the office and on the shop floor, and experienced in manufacturing process optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain quality control processes and documentation for marine products, including DOT compliance.
  • Assist in the creation, improvement, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Design and implement new manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop facility layouts using CAD tools.
  • Support manufacturing cost standards and participate in quoting large projects.
  • Analyze current operations and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, quality, and operations.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work in both office and fabrication shop environments.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment required.
