Conveyor Picker (Warehouse Conveyable Picker)
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay: $17/hr
Department: Logistics Night
Shift: Monday - Friday, starting at 4 PM with 8-10 hour shifts
Job Overview:
Conveyor Pickers are essential to our warehouse operations, responsible for selecting and preparing products for shipment according to order labels. This role demands prior experience in manual picking, repeated lifting, and keen attention to detail. You will be expected to maintain a clean and safe workspace while meeting daily productivity goals and handling materials according to company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Apply labels to boxes based on order specifications
- Rapidly and accurately identify product descriptions and item numbers
- Communicate inventory needs to replenishment drivers
- Operate the conveyor line safely and shut it down during emergencies
- Maintain precise records to support inventory control and secure stock rotation
- Participate in physical inventories as needed
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment
- Report safety or mechanical issues with any equipment
- Keep the facility organized, clean, and secure
- Assist in other areas as needed and support warehouse security
- Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior manual picking experience is required
- Preferably six months of similar experience
- Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and other power equipment beneficial
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to learn company technology and product knowledge
- Familiarity with hand-held computerized devices
- Expertise in inventory and quality control
Working Conditions:
- Maintain high standards in non-temperature controlled environments with exposure to heat, humidity, and weather elements
- Occasionally work in refrigerated areas
- Manage moderate noise levels and some exposure to dust and fumes
Physical Requirements:
- Regular and reliable attendance needed
- Frequent operation of pallet jacks or forklifts
- Capability to stand, walk, lift (50-65 lbs), and handle products
- Must have specific vision abilities for close and distance assessment
