Job Title: Digital Print Operator / Flex to Letter Shop Machine Operator
Location: Highland Park, MI
Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00/hour (depending on experience and knowledge)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible hours (may include unusual shifts)
Position Type: Long-term temporary / coverage for full-time employee on leave
Position Summary:
Kelly Services is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Digital Print Operator to operate and maintain high-volume printers in the Digital Print Center. This role may also flex to support Letter Shop machine operations. The operator will communicate regularly with Digital Print Management, maintain shift turnover documentation, and prepare daily production reports. The position requires adherence to departmental policies, quality standards, and maintaining organization and cleanliness in all work areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain high-volume printers (Cannon, Reco, Xerox)
- Communicate with Digital Print Management regarding status updates and issue resolution
- Maintain shift turnover documentation and daily production reports
- Adhere to department policies, procedures, and quality processes
- Ensure organization and cleanliness of work and storage areas
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Required Skills:
- Strong decision-making and multi-tasking abilities
- Team player with flexibility in hours
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic PC/Windows knowledge and Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong desire to expand knowledge and take on additional responsibilities
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Canon and Xerox printers
- Knowledge of digital printer color management
- MAC and Windows proficiency
- Familiarity with Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator
- Understanding of paper types and general finishing/binding processes
