Kelly Services is hiring a Sheet Metal Fabrication Supervisor (2nd Shift) in Farmington, CT!

If you're a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on driving safety, quality, and productivity, this is an opportunity to lead a high-performing fabrication team in a fast-paced sheet metal environment. You'll oversee shop floor operations, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure production goals are met while maintaining strong team engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise shop floor personnel in compliance with company policies and safety regulations
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and lead corrective actions when needed
  • Manage daily production schedules and allocate resources to meet on-time delivery (OTD), quality, and productivity goals
  • Support new product introductions and ongoing process improvements
  • Oversee employee scheduling, training, coaching, and performance development
  • Drive safety compliance and reinforce lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and SYNCHRO principles
  • Forecast departmental needs and assist with hiring and equipment planning

What You'll Bring
  • Supervisory experience within a manufacturing or sheet metal environment (required)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills

Schedule & Pay
  • Training/Overlap on 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Permanent Schedule: 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Salary Range: $86,000 – $123,000 annually (DOE)
  • Full-Time | Direct Hire Opportunity
