Location: North Charleston, SC
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually + Full Benefits

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to establish and lead EHS practices at our North Charleston facility. This role requires both strategic vision and operational expertise to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, drive continuous improvement, and cultivate a strong safety culture. The EHS Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for all EHS-related activities until a dedicated team is established, offering significant opportunity for professional growth and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.

Develop and implement strategic EHS initiatives to promote best practices and foster a culture of safety and sustainability.

Support the implementation of organizational sustainability goals aligned with the long-term strategy.

Establish, maintain, and certify an EHS management system in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Oversee contractor safety programs, ensuring compliance, awareness, and accountability.

Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses, and process hazard evaluations, implementing necessary controls and monitoring.

Manage environmental compliance, including waste management, permitting, and reporting to regulatory agencies.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions for safety or environmental events.

Develop and coordinate training programs, audits, and awareness initiatives to strengthen EHS knowledge across the site.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely communication and alignment on EHS priorities.
Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Professional certification in EHS management (CSP, CIH, or equivalent) preferred.

10+ years of experience in EHS leadership roles within a regulated manufacturing environment.

In-depth knowledge of EHS legislation, standards, and best practices.

Hands-on experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification and auditing.

Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.

Proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization and implement sustainable, long-term improvements.
