Electrician IV – Facilities O&M (Direct Hire)
Location: Norco, CA
1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay: Up to $47 per hour based on experience 
Clearance Required: Active SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE 
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required

Position Overview

KELLY has partnered with a Premiere company and seeking an experienced Electrician IV to support Facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) for a government customer in Norco, California.

This role provides technical support, troubleshooting, installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems across the facility. The Electrician IV ensures safe, efficient operations while mentoring team members and adhering to federal and internal safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Electrical Maintenance

  • Perform daily operational checks of all electrical equipment.
  • Maintain, repair, install, troubleshoot, load-test, and modify electrical systems including:
    • VFDs
    • AHUs
    • Motors
    • ATSs
    • UPSs
  • Industrial and low-voltage lighting systems
  • Work with secondary distribution lines, switchgear, multi-phase AC circuits, power/control circuits, transformers, bus ducts, and more.

Safety, Documentation & Compliance

  • Immediately report safety concerns in writing to the Safety Specialist.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical PPE and ensure testing equipment certifications are current.
  • Write electrical evaluations, assessments, and redline updates to blueprints/diagrams.
  • Identify unsafe work conditions and report them in writing.

Technical & Project Support

  • Interpret and create blueprints, logic diagrams, control diagrams, and specifications.
  • Perform calculations related to load requirements.
  • Assist in facilities projects, equipment installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct infrared scans/surveys of electrical components per PM schedule.
  • Maintain formal inventory system for lamps and lighting spare parts.
  • Support other trades as required.

Additional Duties

  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Respond to emergency events (electrical, water, wind, storm).
  • Participate in monthly safety inspections and required training.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Environment

  • Indoors and outdoors; exposure to:
    • Heat, cold, humidity
    • Dampness, dust, fumes, solvents, grease, oils
    • Electrical energy
    • Moving machinery, vehicles, slippery or uneven surfaces

Physical Requirements

  • Work at ground level, on ladders, and on elevated platforms.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs frequently, and occasionally more.
  • Extended standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, stretching.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and climb various ladder types.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in the electrical trades
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, high- and low-voltage systems
  • Ability to respond to emergency call-ins
  • Pass annual Fit for Duty physical
  • Meet medical requirements for respirator use; pass respirator fit test
  • Physically able to climb ladders, access raised walkways/platforms
  • Able to work in confined spaces
  • U.S. citizen with Active SECRET clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 certification
  • 7+ years electrical trade experience
  • Experience with building automation systems and industrial controls
  • Experience working in laboratory environments (fume hoods, lab benches, etc.)
