Electronic Circuitry/Parts Assembler II - Customer Job Title:
: The Production Operator fulfills manufacturing and supplementary processes to produce and deliver a variety of electro-mechanical products targeted for business segments support by the facility and to assure an uninterrupted supply of quality products to customers. This individual will be proficient in the assembly and testing of electro-mechanical parts for the industrial and aerospace markets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work from detailed drawings to assemble, inspect, and test simple electro-mechanical systems. Diagnose minor manufacturing difficulties and make any necessary adjustments. Ensure proper waste disposal procedures are followed for handling residual and/or hazardous waste. Operate a forklift. Stand up to 90 of the time , grasp up to 75 of the time , walk up to 50 of the time , reach up to 50 of the time , twist up to 25 of the time , bend 90 degrees up to 20 of the time , sit up to 10 of the time , climb up to 10 of the time , and push/pull up to 10 of the time . Lift/carry materials weighing up to 35 pounds up to 50 of the time and materials weighing up to 50 pounds up to 40 of the time. Perform activities associated with the handling of hazardous waste, including, but not limited to, container labeling, familiarization with emergency procedures, and completion of initial/annual hazardous waste training.
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions. Ability to read and understand product drawings and basic blueprints. Demonstrated computer literacy. Knowledge of basic algebra and statistics. Demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work any shift as well as overtime during the week as needed. Ability to work independent of direct supervision. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with management and coworkers. Ability to effectively communicate with management and coworkers. Ability to complete the job without direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of self or others. Demonstrated effort toward self-improvement by gaining new knowledge/skills and accepting new assignments.
WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Production Operator experience, especially working with electronics and/or electro-mechanical products.
EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required.
