Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an EHS Specialist for a direct-hire (permanent) position with one of our partners in the Fort Dodge, IA area.
This role offers the opportunity to support daily HSE operations, lead safety initiatives, and foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
Health, Safety & Environment Specialist – Direct Hire (Permanent)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite in Fort Dodge, IA
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
- Support daily management and administration of the Health, Safety & Environment Management System
- Implement and maintain HSE systems; contribute to audits and management reviews
- Lead HSE-driven projects in collaboration with site leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE documentation
- Stay current with legislative and corporate HSE requirements, and help guide compliance across the facility
- Support contractor and visitor safety management processes
- Champion a positive safety culture at all organizational levels
- Create and deliver HSE communications highlighting best practices
Core Experience:
- 1-2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (GMP-regulated industry preferred)
- Experience managing or supporting safety programs in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of safety and industrial hygiene practices (e.g., process evaluation, air sampling, noise monitoring)
- Working understanding of factory processes and technologies
- Examples of success in managing conflict, developing and implementing programs, and learning from past experiences
Technical Qualifications (Preferred):
- Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- One of the following certifications: CSP, ASP, CIH, GSP, or CHMM
- Strong communicator with excellent written and oral skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to influence across levels
- Organized, with the ability to prioritize and balance shifting business needs
- Technically curious, with a strong aptitude for learning new skills and knowledge
- Promotes a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
