Kelly is hiring an Equipment Control Coordinator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Management in the day-to-day local, regional , over-the-road and warehouse and yard Operation
- Managing the day-to-day Operations
- Maintain high level communications with the Office and its Employees in Jacksonville
- Maintain high level communication with security company
- Oversee drivers ensuring they are following company processes, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure that all Company Owned and Leased equipment are maintained and are roadworthy to meet all DOT standards and requirements.
- Ensure that all property is maintained for a safe working condition
- Assist with Monthly M&R record keeping requirements
- Assist with SKIP inspections when necessary.
- Ensure that all Company Owned and Leased equipment are maintained and are roadworthy to meet all DOT standards and requirements.
- Ensure all Company Owned and Leased equipment repairs are completed in the most cost-effective way possible.
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of yard checks
- Responsible for reviewing and updating all yard checks – inventories
- Responsible for confirming the yard check information has been provided to all participants daily
- Work hours are Monday thru Friday 07:00 to 17:00 (as needed) and on call 24 / 7
- Working within Rail Yards (FEC, CSX and NS)
- Enforce all Driver Safety Programs
- Updating TVI Systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Skills, Abilities & Competencies:
- Effective oral and written communication in person, on the phone and via electronic communications
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple, competing projects and tasks
- Must be hands on and able to work both inside the office and out on the property
- Strong problem-solving skills and an excellent self-motivated work ethic are critical.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
- Maintaining an entrepreneurial attitude with a strong desire to grow professionally is key.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, high school diploma is required.
- Three to five years' experience in dispatch and/or fleet management is strongly preferred; some prior experience is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employees must be able to sit for extended periods of time which working with a computer and be able to communicate verbally over the phone and in person with drivers, co-workers, and customers. Employees must be able to inspect inside and outside trucking equipment.
