What's a typical day as Facilities Technician? You'll be:

• Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery, building systems, and mechanical equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Troubleshooting and fixing faulty electrical switches, lighting, HVAC rooftop units, as well as unclogging drains
• Building partitions, making repairs to drywall, roofs, windows, doors, and facility structures; painting as needed
• Maintaining and repairing equipment in cafeterias, laboratories, offices, and factory areas
• Overseeing outside contractors performing repairs or upgrades; obtaining necessary supplies and repair parts
• Performing preventive maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and maintaining checklists and records
• Using hand and power tools, specialized equipment, and electronic testing devices as required
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and updating work orders via computer systems or email

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have experience in facility maintenance, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC roles (must-have)
• Possess strong technical and mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and problem-solving abilities
• Can read and interpret blueprints, schematics, service manuals, and written instructions
• Are flexible to switch tasks quickly, able to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold, cramped/at heights), and can stand/walk/lift for extended periods
• Are comfortable using computers for email, work order updates, and basic data entry
• Can work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow established safety protocols
• Willing to participate in mandatory safety and technical training provided by the company
