Pay Rate: $19
Shift: 7pm-7am (10 hours and 35 mins, (4) 15 mins breaks and 25 min lunch)
Employment Type: 12-month contract
Work Setup: Onsite
- Feed cartons onto the belt and pack products using automatic packers or hand-packing methods, ensuring proper stacking, direction, and packing specifications.
- Operate and transport pallets of cartons using an electric pallet jack, especially in areas without forklift traffic; may operate shrink tunnel and robot equipment.
- Perform quality checks and audits on cartons during production, using measurement and testing devices to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards, supporting plant safety initiatives, policies, and directives, including participating in safety programs.
- Follow all company rules, including PPE requirements and safety guidelines, and perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability and willingness to wear required PPE: safety glasses, steel/composite toe shoes, hearing protection, gloves, hair/beard nets, bump cap.
- Basic math and measuring skills; ability to use rulers, tape measures, calculators, and perform general math.
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions for training, safety, and quality.
- Experience using electric pallet jacks and willingness to gain certification if needed.
- Good general mechanical aptitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical capability to lift cartons.
Preferred:
- Experience operating additional equipment such as shrink tunnels, robots, or testing devices (e.g., Chatillon, E J Caddy, Fluke IR Thermometer).
- Prior experience in a packing/warehouse/production environment or with carton quality inspection.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with plant floor data collection systems.
- Knowledge of SQF, 5S, or other safety/quality frameworks.
- Ability to pass the Farnsworth Munsel-100 Hue Test and prior forklift certification.
