General Laborer - Metal Processing (Direct Hire) Location: Scottsville, NY
Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift Available

We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team at a leading secondary metal processing facility in Scottsville, NY. This is a direct-hire position with excellent benefits and opportunities for growth.

Essential Duties:

• Load materials into kettles to dissolve metals in acid or through the furnace process
• Label materials accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
• Ensure proper safety practices and follow all safety rules.
• Read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS).

Competencies/Skills Required:

• Teamwork Orientation: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Reliability: Punctual and reliable with good attendance.
• Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
• Basic Literacy: Basic reading and writing skills.
• Possible Chemical Handling: Comfortable working with acids such as Hydrochloric Acid, Nitric Acid, and Aqua Ammonia.or working in furnace area.
