We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Maintenance - Carpentry focus to join our team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility's structural integrity, performing a wide range of carpentry tasks including constructing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying buildings throughout our grounds. This is a Direct hire Opportunity on 1st shift but availability on all shifts is required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute various carpentry projects with high-quality workmanship, including measuring and marking materials; repairing and replacing floors, roofs, wall sidings, doors; installing partitions, walls, doors, wood structures, cabinets, shelving, and drywall.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics to determine materials, tools, and techniques.
- Operate power and hand tools (hammers, saws, drills, planers, mortising machines, etc.) efficiently and safely.
- Install fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, closures.
- Perform concrete repairs and minor membrane roof repairs.
- Maintain and repair overhead doors.
- Follow standard safety procedures, including correct PPE (goggles, hearing protectors, work gloves).
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Proven carpentry experience required.
- Creativity and design skills a plus.
- Familiarity with building regulations/codes a plus.
- Ability to operate a loader a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and a proactive problem-solver.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, standing, stooping, working at heights).
- Skilled with basic hand tools (drills, chisels, sanders, saws, nail guns).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexible with shift assignments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Frequent exposure to fumes, dust, and airborne particles
