Qualifications:
Prior manufacturing experience required
Key Responsibilities:
General Operations:
Observe production processes and monitor equipment for safe, efficient operation
Record production and operational data using designated forms
Move materials and products between work areas using tools and equipment
Visually and manually inspect materials and products to ensure quality standards
Follow work orders precisely to meet customer and process specifications
Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance and determine maintenance needs
Monitor gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure proper machine functioning
Identify and troubleshoot equipment or operating errors
Specific Production Tasks:
Mixing / Compound Blending:
Accurately measure and add materials into mixing equipment
Operate mixers for specified times, then transfer material into containers
Label each batch and submit required QA/QC samples
Fully clean mixing equipment between jobs
Screening:
Load and run blocks of material through screening machines
Monitor output, cut to correct lengths, and weigh pieces
Wrap and label finished materials and load onto racks
Milling:
Prepare and weigh materials per batch specifications
Operate milling machines to roll and mix material into thin sheets
Cut and label slabs, submit samples to QA/QC, and rack sheets for extrusion
