Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $35.00/hour Shift: 1st What's a typical day as HANDS ON Maintenance Tech III? You'll be:- Managing all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventative programs on conveyors and equipment.
- Ensuring building security, safety, and compliance with government and OSHA regulations.
- Promoting a collaborative environment and recommending improvements in operating methods.
- Overseeing building and grounds maintenance, including project coordination and contractor/vendor management.
- Maintaining safety standards, conducting monthly operational/safety inspections, and ensuring a clean, safe facility.
- Liaising with corporate engineering, local fire and police, and town officials as necessary.
- Establishing and overseeing safety programs such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Hot Work permits, confined space entry, and emergency response plans.
- Issuing and maintaining security access cards and keys.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and work orders.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Have a HS Diploma or GED (higher education or technical school education preferred).
- Bring at least 3 years of experience in a distribution environment with knowledge of conveyor systems, electrical test equipment, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, scan optics, pneumatics, fire sprinkler systems, OSHA regulations, and regulatory/DOT.
- Possess certification in workplace hazardous materials and hazardous waste management (preferred).
- Are self-motivated with strong written, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Are computer literate and able to utilize Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Have or are willing to obtain a forklift certification, with experience operating powered industrial trucks (preferably cherry picker and stand-up forklifts).
- Can lift, carry, pull, and push up to 40–70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with or without accommodation.
- Can read and write in English; prior electrical background and conveyor knowledge preferred.
- Act as a role model leader and demonstrate values in leadership.
